We are always happy to see new faces each Spring. To make sure your experience is a good one, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- We are mostly a wholesale nursery. Our minimums are typically 20 trees/bushes total and 10 per variety. We do relax those minimums if you purchase on-site, but prices do increase dramatically if you don't meet our minimums (the same minimums all pre-orders had to adhere to).
- 97%+ of our sales each year are by pre-order. If you put in an order ahead of time via email you can schedule your order for pickup and can be assured what you have reserved is available for you. If you just stop out there are no assurances the product has been dug/lifted yet, it may or may not be sold out, and it may be temporarily out of stock until we have more dug. Those are all things that people with established orders have exposure to, but walk-ups do not. As a general rule deciduous varieties are available around April 1st. Fruit trees (for deer) and smaller conifers are available around April 10th. Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, and Asparagus are available around April 10th. Larger Conifers are available around April 15th - 20th.
- During the month of April we are very busy most days and extremely busy on Friday's. Many people drive a long ways to pickup their orders and have set an appointment with us. In terms of sales and place in line, preference is given to people picking up scheduled pre-orders vs. people just walking in.
