2027 Catalogs Available | Full Availability Updated 9-28-26 | Miracle Tubes Available Year-Round
Thanks for stopping by—we’re glad you found us!
If you are a new customer - first off welcome. We are a Central Wisconsin bare root nursery. You can either browse this website at your leisure, or take 60 seconds to read the text below that gives you an overview of who we are and what we sell. Trust us - it really helps.
Important Things to Know:
Availability
All availability can be found on the Availability menu items. There is a menu item for All Availability in .XLS format, or you are free to browse the individual pages for each variety if you like.
If you'd rather view the full catalog(s) in .PDF format you can view/download them here: Full Catalog (76 pages) | Short/Printable Catalog (13 pages)
Unlike most nurseries we keep our inventory very up-to-date. It's a waste of both of our times to not show correct inventory. We update that at least 3x per week - as we get closer to Spring we'll update it 2x times per day.
We typically sell out of most sizes/varieties well before Spring. If you see something that shows LOW QTY's feel free to start an order with just that if you like. People modify their orders all the time... it doesn't bother us at all. Only takes a few seconds to update an order on our end.
Minimums
We are a wholesale nursery. So our minimums are 20 total and 10 per variety for trees/bushes, 5 per variety for raspberries, 10 for Asparagus, and 1 for Blueberries. We are sometimes a little flexible. If you send in an order that is a problem we'll let you know (but that is pretty rare).
Ordering
There are lots of ways to order. Just go to the 2027 Orders menu link to see all the options. Trust us... if there is a way to order we've seen it. We don't offer an online ordering option because of the complexities of inventory and discounting - so we handle that all in-house. But no matter how you send your order in expect a confirmation back very quickly.
Pickup
We offer pickup at our Marshfield, WI location in Spring. We are open 7 days a week from March 26th, 2027 - May 23rd, 2027 with long hours every day. Once your order is dug you are free to schedule your pickup appointment based on the day & time that works for you. There is no concept of us being "full" for pickups at any given date or time - if we have orders to get ready we just work later or bring in more people.
Shipping
We ship all over the upper Midwest, but not outside of that area. If you are further from Wisconsin or you've never heard of Spee Dee Shipping then see if we ship to you on our Shipping Page.
Communication
You will find that we communicate very well. We know your time is valuable. If you send us an email or a message you will hear back promptly. We say we "guarantee responses within 24 hours"... but response times are usually measured in minutes. No matter where we are in the world - out in the fields, out in the barns, or even sitting on a beach somewhere (have to keep our spouses happy also) - we'll acknowledge your communication quickly.
In the Spring we will provide updates on your order regardless of whether you are picking up or shipping. The single thing we hear the most from customers is "man you guys are organized".
Success Rates / Quality
We've been doing this a long time and have gotten pretty good at it. But everyone needs to do their part to make it a success story. On our side the digging crews, graders, warehouse crew, and packagers have all been helping out pretty much as long as we've been doing this. Our employee turn-over is basically zero each year - everyone is great at what they do and it shows.
As a general rule we carry larger bare root stock relative to the catalog companies and the DNR/Conservation Clubs. This leads to increased success rates because the more extensive roots can handle a little bit of drought vs. a smaller seedling. The good news is that we are also significantly cheaper than the catalog companies.
Nothing is ever perfect (think how boring that would be), but we move very quickly in the Spring. We dig and get product into the customer's hands as quickly as possible. If we need to work 24 hour days... that's just the way it is (they used to be much more common than they are now). By early May we like to be done shipping and by mid-May we are done with pickups. Nurseries that deliver product later into May (or even June) are borderline ridiculous. By June the chances of a bare root tree making it are incredibly small.
For the last 10 years in a row our percentage of sales to RETURNING customers has increased. We consider this the most important measure of quality. Face it - if you are unhappy with something there is no way you are coming back for round 2!
Success rates are never guaranteed - but our positive feedback surpasses negative feedback by about a 10-1 margin. Check us out on Google - our lone negative review is one individual who wanted his Cedars March 1st and wouldn't accept the excuse that they were still stuck in a foot of snow and frost.
Unlike most nurseries we do work with people who have issues, but we do have a one-on-one discussion to try to determine root cause. It's not a frequent thing we have to do, but we still mention it here.
Have a good day. Any other questions just ask!
