Strawberries
Great strawberries start with quality strawberry plants. We carry only top-quality plants and the hardiest / most popular varieties for the upper Midwest.
To plant strawberries, choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil, dig holes slightly larger than the root ball, carefully place the strawberry plant so the crown (where the leaves meet the stem) is level with the soil surface, spread out the roots, fill the hole with soil, gently firm the ground around the plant, and water thoroughly; space plants 12-18 inches apart, and consider removing the first flowers that appear to encourage strong root development in the first year.
